Board Meeting Highlights and Minutes April 11, 2011

The SJMC Board of Trustees voted in public meeting to end the hospital district's participation in the existing Teton MRI joint venture as soon as it is practical to do so. In doing so, the Trustees emphasized that they will ensure that high quality MRI services will continue to be available at St. John's. To implement the decision in a collaborative way, an appraisal was authorized by the Trustees to establish the fair market value of Teton MRI and St. John's interest in it. The Board expressed their willingness to sell the hospital's interest in Teton MRI at fair market value.

A vote to reinvigorate a strategic planning process also passed. Trustees will include hospital and medical staff in this process and also solicit public participation.
