First Free Teen Heart Screenings Begin at St. John's

Local teens who participate in school and community sports are now able to be screened for potentially fatal genetic heart conditions as part of a new program at St. John's Medical Center. The first heart screening clinic is scheduled for Saturday, October 8, from 8 am to noon at the hospital.

Immediately after cataract surgery with St. John’s eye surgeon Dr. Jamie Monroe, the improvement was obvious. Her restriction to drive with glasses was removed. Best of all, she can see what she’s painting again. “What I enjoy most is seeing the colors of the outdoors.”
