St. John's Expansion Project Information Portal

On August 17, 2010, Teton County residents approved SPET Proposition #4, granting St. John’s Medical Center $11.75 million in funding. SPET funds are an essential part of the financing formula for St. John's $26 million expansion project, which will provide new and renovated spaces to meet increased patient demand for Cancer, Surgery, and Obstetrics services.

R. J. Griffin & Company, Construction Manager for this project, will be seeking bids from qualified subcontractors and suppliers for the St. John’s Medical Center construction project. Presentation and Approval of the Preliminary Conceptual Plans for the Expansion at Special Board Meeting 2/10/11

Jim Johnston gave an overview of the plan design options that have been discussed in several meetings this week with the architects, physicians and hospital staff. Last night at a special public meeting of the Finance and Facilities Committees, the members voted to recommend Option 1A to be presented to the Board for their approval. After a short discussion, the Board approved a motion for the architects to move forward with schematic designs for Option 1A. This design can be viewed on the website under the Expansion portal at www.tetonhospital.org/expansion.

Top Candidate for Hospital Expansion Construction Manager Selected

One of the nation's leading hospital construction management firms, R.J. Griffin & Company, a member of the JE Dunn Construction Group, has emerged as the top-ranked candidate to manage the construction of the St. John's Medical Center $25.9 million expansion and renovation. The Board of Trustees has authorized the hospital staff to negotiate a contract with Griffin. "Upgrading a hospital without disrupting its service to the public is a highly technical undertaking,” said St. John’s Board of Trustees Chairman Mike Tennican.
