Medication Take Back part of Earth Day activities at St. John’s

On Friday April 21st, St. John’s Medical Center will be holding several Earth Day activities to benefit employees, the community, and the environment. All services will take place in the hospital lobby from 11 am to 2 pm.

Community members and employees can bring their unneeded or expired medications to the lobby during this time for proper disposal through the Medication Take Back program, which is supported by St. John’s Medical Center pharmacy and Teton County law enforcement.

Teton County law enforcement will be hosting an additional Medication Take Back Day on Saturday, April 29, at Smith’s.

The medication take back and other on-campus Earth Day events were planned by the medical center’s sustainability committee. St. John’s Medical Center is an RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) Business Leader, as designated by Teton County Integrated Solid Waste & Recycling. St. John’s Medical Center is also a member of Practice Greenhealth, a nonprofit organization that offers information, best practices, and solutions for greening the many facets of the health care industry.
