Kim Mellick grew up in the rainy city of Portland, Oregon, where she received her BS in nursing from Oregon Health & Science University in 2003. She initially moved to Jackson in 2006 to ski for “one season.” However, the Jackson bug got the best of her and, after receiving her masters of science in nursing in 2011 from Western University of Health Sciences, she returned to Jackson, where she has lived ever since.
Kim’s passion in healthcare developed from her desire to make a difference in people’s lives by providing high quality care and building relationships with her patients. She enjoys getting to know her patients and their families and watching the community strive to become the healthiest we can be. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Kim worked in the PCU and ICU at St. Johns Medical Center.
Prior to her career in medicine, Kim was an Outward Bound instructor in Minnesota and New Mexico, working with at-risk youth in the wilderness.
