Louis I. Hochheiser, MD is the Chief Executive Officer of St. John's Medical Center. Dr. Hochheiser, a Teton County, WY resident, is a family physician with extensive healthcare leadership experience.
As the former Chief Medical Leader for a Fortune 100 healthcare insurance and services company, Dr. Hochheiser oversaw the work of a large team of physicians and clinical policy staff located throughout the country. Prior to that, Dr. Hochheiser was chair of the Departments of Family Medicine at Brown University and at the University of Vermont. He has also provided advice and expert counsel nationally to organizations across the health care spectrum,including hospitals and agencies focused on mental health, wellness and prevention.
John J. Kren has served as Chief Financial Officer at St. John's since June 2009, providing the organization with financial performance leadership from both an operational and strategic perspective. Mr. Kren is also responsible for the organization’s Accounting, Revenue Cycle, Internal Audit, and Materials Management functions.
Mr.Kren has served St. John’s Medical Center for eight years where he has held a variety of senior management positions including Finance Director/Controller, Operations Officer, and Compliance Officer. Prior to being recruited to St. John’s Medical Center, Mr. Kren served at Central DuPage Health in Chicago, IL, as an Administrative Resident, followed by roles in Accounting, Finance, and Compliance. He has also had an extensive entrepreneurial background.
Mr. Kren holds both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama each with dual concentrations in Accountancy and Finance. He also holds a Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Alabama Birmingham with joint study at the University of Chicago. Mr. Kren is also a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Dr. Trott, a native of Buffalo, NY, attended undergraduate and medical school at the University of Rochester and completed residency at The Cleveland Clinic in 1994. He was co-managing partner of an ENT and Allergy practice in Ohio before relocating to Jackson Hole in 2008. Dr. Trott earned a masters degree in medical management from Carnegie Mellon University in 2012 and has dual responsibilities as Vice President for Clinical Operations and Director of ENT and Allergy at St. John’s Medical Center. Dr. Trott holds an adjunct faculty position at the University of Utah School of Medicine in the Department of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Trott oversees quality improvement, the clinical laboratory and other leadership assignments at St. John's. He also provides ear, nose, throat and allergy care as an ENT with St. John's Physician Practices.
Karen Connelly is Chief Communications Officer. She provides leadership for St. John's marketing, communications and community relations programs. She serves as media liaison for St. John's Medical Center and affiliated physician clinics.
Before joining St. John's Medical Center, Ms. Connelly was marketing director for the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce and the Jackson Hole Visitors Council lodging tax board.
She earned her BA in Economics at St. Lawrence University and a MBA from Clarkson University. She serves on the board of directors of the Jackson Hole Community Counseling Center and El Puente.
John Goettler is President of the St. John’s Hospital Foundation. Established in 1999 as a separate non-profit organization, the St. John’s Hospital Foundation’s mission is to broaden the community’s understanding of and support for St. John’s Medical Center.
Prior to joining the Foundation in 2013, John served as the President of Goettler Associates, Inc., a full-service fund-raising consulting firm based in Columbus, Ohio. John holds a BA in Economics from Indiana University, and is a Certified Fund-Raising Executive as issued by the Association of Fund-Raising Professionals.
