Board Members
Cynthia Hogan, Chair
Ms. Hogan has a wealth of experience in the health care industry, both
as a professional and as a patient advocate assisting family through serious
medical conditions. She has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical
industry, having worked for Novartis for the last 20 years. Among other
things, she established a Patient Services Center to provide reimbursement
support and disease education to patients with specialty diseases. She
was the co-chair of a Novartis executive women’s organization, leading
its growth from 50 to over 1,000 members. Ms. Hogan also helped with strategic
planning to prepare the corporation for changes brought on by the Affordable
Care Act. Ms. Hogan has served on a variety of nonprofit boards including
New Jersey Hospice.

Elizabeth Masek, Vice Chair
With an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Utah,
Liz Masek spent her early years in the public relations field, with a
focus on corporate philanthropic concerns. Her master’s degree is
in health advocacy from Sarah Lawrence College, for which she completed
a practicum at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Liz has served
on the boards of the St. John's Hospital Foundation and Teton Wellness
Institute, and is a spiritual care volunteer at St. John's Medical
Center. She serves St. John's Episcopal Church in its vestry and stewardship
and education committees.

Michael Tennican, Treasurer
Michael Tennican is a management and economic consultant. He provides counsel
and expert witness testimony on strategic and financial issues for major
US and international companies, particularly in the energy sector. He
began his professional career as a professor of finance at the Harvard
Business School, then moved on to become a senior vice president and a
director of two management and economic consulting firms that are now
both subsidiaries of the Marsh & McLennan Companies. He also has long
been involved with startup companies, most recently a medical research
and development company, Hyprotek, Inc., focused on the prevention of
infectious diseases. He holds a BS in electrical engineering from Stanford
and MBA and doctoral degrees from Harvard. His wife, Jennifer, is a documentary
filmmaker. Her films include
The Stagecoach Bar: An American Crossroads and
Far Afield: A Conservation Love Story, among others.

Linda Aurelio, Secretary
Linda earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in hospital
administration at The George Washington University. Her medical career
spanned 30 years before her retirement in 2003. She served as chief of
the Department of Ultrasound at George Washington University Hospital
in Washington D.C., while participating in early research on AIDS, prostate
cancer, and infertility. The 500-bed hospital provided an excellent opportunity
to teach residents and to advance her studies. Upon completing her MHA,
she founded Sonographic Services Inc (SSI). For the next 18 years, SSI
provided temporary medical staffing to hospitals and offices around the
country. By combining her medical expertise and business background, she
was able to develop a successful company providing a much-needed service
to the medical community.
Linda has been a Jackson resident since 2003. She has been an active member
of the St. John's Hospital Foundation since 2015, most recently serving
as vice chair. She also serves as a council member to the Jackson Hole
Land Trust.

C. Scott Gibson
Scott Gibson is actively involved in the high technology industry, and
has served on the boards of many non-profits, large and small, over the
last 35 years as well. From 1983 through 1992, Mr. Gibson co-founded and
served as president and co-CEO of Sequent Computer Systems, Inc., a computer
systems company, which grew from start-up to 2500 employees. Before co-founding
Sequent, Mr. Gibson served as general manager, Memory Components Operation,
at Intel Corporation. Since 1992, Mr. Gibson has been a full-time professional
director to high technology companies. Mr. Gibson serves on the boards
of several other companies and non-profit organizations, including Radisys
Corporation, where he is Chair of the Board, Triquint Semiconductor, Inc.,
Pixelworks, Inc., and NW Natural. He served nearly 10 years on the Oregon
Health and Sciences University Governing Board, and serves on the board
of the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. Mr. Gibson holds a BSEE and
a MBA from the University of Illinois.

Susan Lynn Critzer
Sue is a seasoned executive with over thirty years of experience in the
medical device and automotive industries. She holds a BSME from Kettering
University and an MBA from University of Michigan. Before retiring to
Jackson, she was CEO of two medical device start-ups and served on the
boards of several companies in the Twin Cities area. She also served as
an adjunct professor and Board of Governors member at the University of
St. Thomas School of Engineering in St. Paul, MN, where she helped create
a new medical device concentration in the graduate engineering program
and lectured on innovation and entrepreneurship. Sue began her career
with General Motors, where she held a number of engineering, quality control,
and management positions. Sue is a past president of the St. John’s
Medical Center Auxiliary. She also volunteers with the Friends of Pathways,
and enjoys spending time skiing, biking, fishing, and hiking. She and
her husband Kevin have lived in Wilson full time since 2008.

Joe Albright
Joe Albright and his wife Marcia Kunstel operate the Flat Creek Ranch,
an historic wilderness dude ranch in Jackson Hole, WY. Joe is a retired
newspaper correspondent and author. During the 1960s-1990s, he worked
as a news correspondent in Washington and in more than 40 foreign countries
for Newsday and the Cox Newspapers. Joe is a member of the advisory board
of the American Heritage Center at the University of Wyoming. He is past
president of the board of the Rotary Foundation of Jackson Hole and past
vice chair of the Wyoming Council for the Humanities, the Teton County
Library Board, and the Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum. Joe
and his wife co-authored "Bombshell: The Secret Story of America's
Unknown Atomic Spy Conspiracy" (Times Books/Random House, 1997) and
"Their Promised Land: Arab and Jew in History's Cauldron - One
Valley in the Jerusalem Hills" (Crown Books/Random House, 1990).

Bruce Hayse, MD
One of the longest-serving, and better-known, family practitioners in the
valley, Dr. Bruce Hayse was born in Oregon. Always an avid outdoorsman,
Bruce worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Idaho and earned a MS in plant
ecology from the University of Wisconsin before graduating from the University
of Oregon medical school. Before moving to Jackson in 1983 with his wife
and two daughters, Bruce co-founded the environmental group Earth First!
He remains a conservation activist today, serving on the boards of the
Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance, Western Wetlands Project, and Wyoming
Wilderness Association. His family practice office is on Broadway in downtown
Jackson. Bruce was named "Citizen of the Year" in 1992 by the
Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce.

Board Advisors
Bill Best
William Best is a recently retired partner with A.T. Kearney, a global
management consulting firm with 35 offices and roughly $1 billion in revenue.
As a senior member of the management team, Mr. Best served on the firm’s
Board of Directors and the Compensation Committee, while maintaining P&L
responsibility for the Asia Pacific region, and the Americas region at
various times in his career. In Asia for 12 years, Mr. Best re-started
a struggling operation in Tokyo, and eventually grew the Asia business
to 11 offices and $100 million in revenue. Later, he was responsible for
the Americas region, the firm’s largest and most profitable. His
consulting professional work involved marketing, distribution and operations,
in a variety of industries, particularly consumer products, automotive,
and medical devices. Stepping down from line responsibilities, he oversaw
the firm’s internal operations, including information technology,
marketing, resource centers, office services, legal, and human resources.
During his career, he has served on a number of charitable boards, including
the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Children’s Memorial Hospital
of Chicago, St John’s Hospital Foundation, and the American Chamber
of Commerce in Japan, among others. He recently served as the lay board
member on the Board of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He
also serves on the Board of the Teton Literacy Center, the Jackson Hole
Center for Global Affairs, and the Teton Back Country Horsemen.
Bill and his wife Martha have owned in Teton Valley for 34 years, and have
lived here full time for the past 6 years. They have 4 children (2 of
which live in Jackson), and 7 grandchildren. His hobbies include skiing,
horseback riding, motorcycle riding, and antique wooden boats.
Debby Hopkins
Debby is an independent board member and advisor with Double Chase Advisors.
Debby retired as the CEO of Citi Ventures and the Chief Innovation Officer
at Citi in December, 2016 after eight years in that role. Debby joined
Citi in 2003 as Head of Corporate Strategy and M&A. She served as
Chief Operations & Technology Officer. She has served as Chief Financial
Officer at The Boeing Company and Lucent Technologies. She was the General
Auditor at General Motors, and VP of Finance at GM Europe in Zurich.
She started her career at Ford in her hometown of Detroit.
Debby is a member of the Board of Directors of Union Pacific, March &
McLennan Companies and VentureWell. Also, Debby is an Advisory Board member
at Riverwood Capital and Stanford Technology Ventures Program and an Executive
Fellow at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
Fortune twice placed Debby in the top 10 most powerful women in business,
and she has been on the Institutional Investor’s Top 50 list every
year since 2011.
Debby has been a Director of St. John’s Hospital Foundation since
January 2018
David J. Robertson
David J. Robertson is currently the senior vice president of Networks
for Vizient, Inc. In this capacity, he coordinates and directs Vizient’s
efforts to serve 59 member health systems representing over 200 hospitals
and thousands of non-acute care organizations in 11 states. Vizient helps
member hospitals and health systems implement supply chain efficiency
strategies, improve clinical performance and accelerate knowledge transfer
to improve health care operations overall.
Prior to joining Vizient, Robertson served as president and chief executive
officer of the Monongalia Health System in Morgantown, WV. Prior to that,
for 18 years he served as CEO of Duncan Regional Hospital in Duncan, OK.
Robertson holds a master’s degree in public health with a concentration
in health administration and a master’s degree in business administration
with an emphasis in marketing, obtaining both degrees from the University
of Missouri in Columbia. He earned his bachelor’s degree in health
care administration, graduating summa cum laude, from Wichita State University
in Wichita, KS. He is the recipient of numerous awards in the health care
industry, including being named the outstanding young health care administrator
in both Iowa and Oklahoma.
