The St. John's Community Health Fair will be held Saturday, May 7,
2011 from 9am - 1 pm at the Snow King Convention Center. With more free
health screenings than ever before, along with family friendly activities
and complementary snacks and beverages, this event promises to be better
More than a dozen adult health screenings will be offered, including vision,
dental, hearing, skin cancer, memory, blood pressure, orthopaedic and
body composition testing. New this year, pediatric vision, hearing, dental
and mole check screenings will be provided for children.
In addition, over 77 educational booths will offer demonstrations, activities
and information on a wide variety of health topics. Children's activities
will include the Teddy Bear Clinic, fire truck and ambulance tours, car
seat safety checks, Child ID kits, Wii Dance II and face painting.
Free demonstration classes for adults and children will be offered in Zumba,
Pilates, Yoga, Jazzercise, Karate and Bouldering, so come dressed to participate.
An annual favorite -- the free interpretation of wellness blood results
for those who participated in the blood screenings -- will be offered
by physicians and other experts. So, don't forget to bring your results
with you to the fair!
Free refreshments and coffee have been generously donated by the Bunnery,
JH Organics, Pearl Street Bagels, JH Roasters, El Puente and the St. John's
