The St. John’s Community Health Fair will be held Saturday, May 5,
2012 from 9am – 1pm at the Snow King Arena. This event promises
to be better than ever -- with more than a dozen free health screenings
for adults and children, along with family friendly activities including
helicopter tours, plenty of health information and complimentary coffee
Free screenings at the health fair will include vision, dental, hearing,
skin, blood pressure, gait scans, body composition, and nerve scans for
adults. In addition, vision, hearing, skin, dental and car seat safety
checks will be offered for kids.
Along with the screenings, over 70 educational booths will provide information
and interactive activities focused on health topics. From 9am until 1pm,
demonstration classes will be offered, including: Zumba, Karate, Tennis,
Mountain Fitness, and Hip Hop. Adults and kids should come dressed to
participate! In addition to the demonstrations, children’s activities
will include the Teddy Bear clinic, fire truck and ambulance tours, car
seat safety checks, Wii Dance II and face painting. New this year will
be helicopter tours provided by Classic Lifeguard and the Jackson Hole
Police department collecting expired, unused, or unwanted prescription
or over the counter medications for the national Drug Enforcement Administration
prescription drug “Take-Back” initiative.
JH Roasters is once again providing free bottomless organic coffee along
with organic and gluten free treats donated by JH Organics. Lunchtime
snacks are being provided by El Puente, Chippy’s Kitchen and Catering
and St. John's Refuge Grill.
St. John’s is once again offering free prostate screening clinics
on May 1st and May 2nd for men over the age of 50 or those over 40 with
a family history of the disease. For more information please contact the

The focus of the 2012 Health Fair is to promote community wellness. As
part of this idea, St. John’s offered CT Calcium Scoring exams and
blood wellness screenings at greatly reduced rates in early 2012. Please
remember to bring your wellness blood screening results with you to the
