St. John's Medical Center Hosts Lunchtime Learning Presentation "Low-Fat or Low-Carb?"
On Tuesday, July 9, the Community Health Information (CHI) Center at St.
John’s Medical Center will host the Lunchtime Learning presentation,
“Low Fat or Low Carb?” by Dr. Dan Peterson.
Dr. Peterson will discuss the arguments and the scientific support for
low-fat and low-carb diets, and how individuals may select the appropriate one.
Dr. Peterson received his MD from Mayo Medical School and his MPH from
Johns Hopkins University, where he also completed a residency in Preventive
Medicine. Professionally, he has directed a broad-based community health
program in Kenya, worked as a medical epidemiologist for the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention, and founded a medical software company.
Since then, Dan has focused on helping busy professionals cut through
the glut of confusing and contradictory health and nutrition information,
leaving a clear path to better health.
This free presentation will be held from noon to 1 pm at the Teton County
Library. Call the CHI Center at 739-7244 for more information.
