Author and researcher Richard J. Davidson will speak in Jackson at 7 pm
on Saturday, November 16 at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, as part
of the St. John's Medical Center Words on Wellness speaker series.
Doors open at 6 pm.
Titled "Transform your Mind, Change Your Brain," the talk will
explain how modern neuroscience proves that we have the capacity to rewire
our brains for happiness and will offer strategies to do so.
Davidson is a renowned neuroscientist best known for his groundbreaking
work in studying emotion and the brain. A New York Times bestselling author,
Davidson was named one of the most influential people in the world by
Time magazine in 2006.
Tickets to Davidson's talk are free and available beginning at noon
on Tuesday, October 29 at the Teton County Library, St. John's Medical
Center Wellness Department, and The National Museum of Wildlife Art.
While in Jackson, Davidson will also have a series of meetings with Teton
County School District employees and social service staff about how his
research can be applied in academic and social service settings.
Words on Wellness is St. John's Medical Center's speaker series,
which presents national speakers and conducts Lunchtime Learning presentations
on health and wellness topics.
