In November, St. John's Medical Center, the Teton County Library, and
Teton County Public Health will host two free events to assist the public
in signing up for health insurance in the new federal marketplace.
On Thursday, November 7, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, these partners will present
the informational session, "How to Shop for Health Insurance in the
New Marketplace." The event takes place in the Teton County Library,
Ordway Auditorium, at 125 Virginian Lane. Topics will include how to apply
online, who's eligible, the cost, and where to find additional resources.
The Wyoming Institute for Population Health (WIPH) will conduct the presentation.
WIPH is a recipient of federal funds to assist with navigation in the
Federal Insurance Marketplace.
On Friday, November 8, certified marketplace navigators will staff the
Teton County Library Computer Lab to provide one-on-one assistance to
community members wishing to sign up in the new federal insurance marketplace.
If you don’t have health insurance, your employer doesn’t
offer health insurance, or you think you might lose your coverage, you
can meet with a navigator to shop for insurance and see if you qualify
for tax credits through the marketplace. Navigators will be available
from 10am to 6pm. To reserve a session, sign up at the Library Front Desk
or call 733-2164, press 1. Find out what to bring at
www.tclib.org.
