St. John's Medical Center is pleased to announce that Lynn Kirman,
Chief Nursing Officer, has been named the winner of the Wyoming Hospital
Association’s Norman S. Holt Award for Nursing Excellence. This
award is presented to one nurse annually at the Wyoming Hospital Association
Convention to honor an outstanding nurse in Wyoming. Kirman is the first
Jackson-area nurse to be recognized with this award since its inception in 1983.
Kirman was nominated by members of the nursing staff at St. John's
for her dedication to the profession of nursing. St. John's nurses
commended Kirman for challenging the entire nursing team to become the
most caring, professional, and skilled nurses possible. They described
her as the essence of the professional nurse, demonstrating the utmost
concern for patients and their families and a high level of support to her team.
According to St. John's nurses, Kirman has moved the nursing staff
from a talented group of individual departments to a united group looking
to achieve the greater good for all our patients and their families.
"On behalf of St. John's Medical Center, I want to congratulate
Lynn and thank her for her being a role model to the hundreds of nurses
that serve our community," said St. John's CEO Lou Hochheiser, MD.
