The St. John’s Community Health Fair will be held Saturday, May 3,
2014 from 9 am to 1 pm at the Snow King Events Center. This event promises
to be better than ever -- with free health screenings for adults and children,
family friendly activities, plenty of health information, and complimentary
coffee and snacks.
Free screenings at the health fair will include: hearing, dental, skin,
blood pressure, orthopaedic injury, concussion pre-screenings, and memory.
In addition, a teddy bear clinic, face painting and car seat safety checks
will be offered for kids. As it has in past years, the Jackson Hole Police
department will also be collecting expired, unused, unwanted prescription/over-the-counter
medications for the national drug “Take-Back” initiative.
Along with the screenings, educational booths will provide information
and interactive activities focused on health topics. From 9 am until 1
pm, demonstration classes will be offered, including: Zumba, Karate, Barre,
and Kids Yoga. Adults and kids should come dressed to participate! In
addition to the demonstrations, children’s activities will include
fire truck and ambulance tours, car seat safety checks, teddy bear clinic,
and face painting.
Complimentary food and beverages provided by Creekside Deli, E-leaven,
Heidi's Deli, JH Roasters, and Pearl Street Bagels.
The focus of the Health Fair is to promote community wellness. Please remember
to bring your wellness blood screening results with you to the health
fair in order to receive an interpretation with one of our medical providers.
