On Thursday, April 24, St. John’s Medical Center will host the community
presentation, “Wellness Blood Screenings: A Laboratory Perspective”
at the Teton County Library from noon to 1:00 pm.
Lars Conway, MD, and Vickie Memmer, MT, will provide an overview of wellness
blood screenings in advance of the upcoming Community Health Fair. Topics
will include an overview of what tests are included on the basic chemistry
profile, the way physicians can identify diseases from these results,
examples of diseases that have been diagnosed from wellness blood screens,
and information on Vitamin D deficiency.
Dr. Conway is the medical director of the St. John's Medical Center
clinical laboratory. Conway received his MD from the University of Tennessee
College of Medicine. He has served as medical director Smith-Kline-Beecham
Clinical Laboratory and Quest Clinical Laboratory in Minneapolis and St.
Vickie Memmer, director of St. John's clinical laboratory, has been
part of the St. John's health care team for the past 20 years, where
she has performed laboratory tests and developed data that facilitates
physicians' diagnoses and treatment of patient diseases.

to you and your medical provider. For interpretations, see your medical
provider or bring them to St. John's Community Health Fair on May
3, 2014 at Snow King Events Center, from 9 am to 1 pm.
