The Steve Winograd Memorial Tennis Tournament will be held at Jackson Hole
Golf & Tennis Club Friday, August 15 through Sunday, August 17, 2014.
A dinner will be held at the Club on Sunday, August 17 at 6:30 pm to celebrate
the tournament and promote awareness of diabetes in our community. The
proceeds from both events will benefit the St. John's Diabetes Education program.
Teams in this doubles tournament can be mixed, women's or men's.
The cost per person to participate is $90 for adults, including meals
and the dinner celebration on Sunday (additional tickets to the dinner
are $30/person). Thanks to a generous donation from an anonymous donor,
the $45 fee for students 18 and under will be waived for the first 20
players to register. Registration deadline is Wednesday, August 13 at
6:00 pm. Registration forms can be downloaded from
www.tetonhospital.org/tennis14. Call Eddie Kolsky at 307-690-2552 for more information.
The Steve Winograd Memorial Tennis Tournament, founded and coordinated
by tennis pro Eddie Kolsky in 1999, has raised over $300,000 for St. John's
Diabetes Education program, a certified program of the American Diabetes
Association. These funds have helped support professional education for
hospital staff, purchase equipment, provide financial assistance to patients,
and send community children to diabetes summer camps. The Diabetes Self
Management Education program reduces the number of hospital admissions
and helps prevent complications from diabetes, including heart disease,
kidney disease, and blindness. St. John's Diabetes Education staff
also provide community education to help lower the incidence of diabetes
in Teton County.
