On Thursday, June 12, St. John’s Medical Center will host the lunchtime
learning presentation, “Best Practices for Treating Children Diagnosed
with Autism Spectrum Disorder,” at the Teton County Library from
noon to 1:00 pm.
St. John's Medical Center CEO, Lou Hochheiser, MD, will begin the presentation
with an overview of diagnosing autism.
Brad Dickey, school psychologist for Teton County School District, will
discuss Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and how it can be used to treat
individuals diagnosed with autism as well as review different ABA therapies
and how they work.
Brad Dickey, NCSP, BCBA, has 5 years of experience working as a behavioral
therapist for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Dr. Lou Hochheiser has a background in pediatrics and, early in his career,
helped promote care for children with autism.
