The St. John's Medical Center Board of Trustees is accepting written
expressions of interest for the position of Trustee of Teton County Hospital
District, dba St. John's Medical Center. The board became aware of
the upcoming vacancy when George Poore, MD, notified them he is resigning.
The Board of Trustees will follow a thorough process for filling the vacancy.
Letters of interest and resumes must be received by Friday, June 6. Qualified
candidates will be asked to complete a questionnaire. After reviewing
completed applications, trustees will interview selected finalists. The
trustees will vote on the appointment at a public board meeting, possibly
at the regular monthly board meeting scheduled for June 26, at 4 pm.
"The board encourages interested prospective candidates to come forward,"
said Mike Tennican, board chairman. "The role of hospital trustee
is a vital public service position in our community. We deeply appreciate
Dr. Poore's contributions as trustee and look forward to bringing
his successor on board." The term for the appointment will expire
in November 2014, when the seat will be filled for a four-year term in
the county general election.
Letters of interest with resume should be mailed to Karen Connelly, Director
of Community Relations, Department 911, PO Box 428, Jackson, WY, 83001
or sent via email to
firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information, call 739-7380. The Trustees are charged by medical
