On Wednesday, September 24, St. John’s Medical Center will host the
lunchtime learning presentation, “The Truths about Genetically Engineered
Crops,” at the Teton County Library from noon to 1:00 pm.
Dr. Ramon Seidler will discuss genetically engineered (GE) food crops and
how they are created; how GE crops affect soils, plants, animals, people,
and the economy; and how food labeling initiatives can help.
Ramon Seidler, PhD, is a former professor of microbiology at Oregon State
University and senior research scientist for the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency. He is an international speaker on the health and environmental
effects — as well as the economics — of GMOs.

is part of the St. John's Medical Center Words on Wellness program
