St. John's Medical Center announces that Dr. Hayley Miller will join
the providers at St. John's Internal Medicine practice in the Professional
Office Building in Jackson. Dr. Miller is board certified in Internal
Medicine with specialty training in diabetes and endocrinology.
"We are pleased to welcome Dr. Haley Miller to the St. John's
Physician Practices primary and specialty medical group," said Jim
Little, Jr., MD, medical director for the group. "Her expertise in
diabetes and endocrinology fits perfectly with the needs of our community,
which has not had easy access to an endocrinologist."
Dr. Miller will begin seeing patients beginning on January 4, and patients
may request appointments by calling St. John's Internal Medicine at 733-7222.
Dr. Miller received her medical doctorate from the University of Washington,
did her residency in Internal Medicine at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center
in La Crosse, Wisc., and completed a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes,
and Metabolism at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.
During her training, Dr. Miller participated in many aspects of research,
but her true passion is patient care. She has given numerous presentations
on optimizing diabetes management, insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose
monitoring, insulin intensification, and weight loss. Dr. Miller’s
professional interests stem from her own experience with type 1 diabetes.
Dr. Miller grew up in Buffalo, Wyoming, and received her undergraduate
degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences from the University of Wyoming.
In her free time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, and most outdoor activities
with her husband and two children.
