The St. John's Medical Center Board of Trustees is accepting written
expressions of interest for the position of Trustee of Teton County Hospital
District, dba St. John's Medical Center. The board became aware of
the upcoming vacancy when Zach W. Hall, Ph.D., submitted his written letter
of resignation, effective March 31, 2015. "We greatly appreciate
Zach's contributions to St. John's Medical Center over the past
four years," said Mike Tennican, Board Chairman. "Zach's
leadership has been extremely valuable, particularly in helping to bring
quality of care to a new level."
Hall has announced that he will leave his post on the Board of Trustees
to devote more time to his growing role as advisor to a privately-funded
project, Target ALS, focused on ALS research. "Because of the importance
of this project and because of my longtime interest in research on neurodegenerative
disease, I have decided to make this work the principal focus of my efforts
over the next few years," said Hall in a letter to Trustees. "I
look forward to the continued success of St. John's and offer my future
support in any way that I can be helpful."
Applications for Trustee will be accepted until February 20, 2015 at 5:00
pm. Applicant interviews will be scheduled in late February and March.
For information about the application process, contact Mary Katherine
King at 739-7404 or
firstname.lastname@example.org. Given Dr. Hall's distinguished health science background, the board
members have indicated they will be particularly interested in hearing
from individuals with experience in health science or health care.
The term for the appointment will expire November 2016, when the seat will
be filled for a four-year term in the county general election. Hospital
bylaws, including information about the role of Trustees, can be viewed at
www.tetonhospital.org/bylaws. All applicants who are residents of Teton County, WY and registered to
vote in the county will be considered.
