Radio host and family medicine doctor Zorba Paster will speak in Jackson
at 6 pm on Friday, March 6 at the Snow King Hotel, as part of the St.
John's Medical Center Words on Wellness speaker series. Doors open
at 5:30 pm.
Titled "5 Steps to Ultimate Wellness," the talk will explain
how to live well and live longer. It includes lessons from Eastern and
Western medicine as well as Dr. Paster's insights from being the personal
physician to the Dalai Lama.
Zorba Paster, MD, is a renowned radio personality, broadcast journalist,
author, university professor, and practicing family physician. His weekly
show on public radio, “Zorba Paster, On Your Health,” has
250,000 listeners. His book, The Longevity Code: Your Personal Prescription
for a Longer, Sweeter Life, includes a foreword by the Dalai Lama.
Tickets to Paster's talk are free and available beginning at noon on
Friday, February 20 at the St. John's Medical Center Wellness Department,
located near the cafeteria in the hospital building, 625 E. Broadway.
After the presentation, attendees are invited to receive 15% off dinner
at Hayden’s Post, where Dr. Paster will visit with them. Reservations
are suggested, and patrons must present their ticket to receive the discount.
Words on Wellness is St. John's Medical Center's speaker series,
which presents national speakers and conducts Lunchtime Learning presentations
on health and wellness topics.
