St. John's Medical Center Cancer Care and Infusion Services will offer
Mind Body Skills sessions beginning on September 24. Classes take place
once a month for three months and are open to cancer patients, survivors,
and family members.
"Learning skills and strategies to balance life’s stresses is
essential to living well,” said Dondi Rettig, BSN, MBA, director
of oncology at St. John's.
Maureen Molinari, MS, RD, LD, CDE, will facilitate three sessions to introduce
participants to skills that may provide relief during times of stress.
Meditation, breath work, guided imagery, journal writing, and other techniques
will be explored. Participants will have an opportunity to practice these
mind body skills in a safe and comfortable environment. Molinari has a
master's degree in Mind Body Medicine.
Sessions will be held on three Thursdays: September 24, October 22, and
November 12, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm in the St. John's Medical Center
Boardroom. Enrollment is limited to 15 people, and pre-registration is
required. Call 307-739-6195.
