St. John's Medical Center invites all community members to "Walk
with a Doc" and "Dinner with a Doc" featuring Marc Domsky,
DO on Wednesday, July 22 at the Senior Center of Jackson Hole. Dr. Domsky,
an anesthesiologist who runs the Pain Clinic at St. John’s Medical
Center, will speak about pain management.
Dr. Domsky will meet people for the Walk with a Doc program at 5 pm at
the entry to the Senior Center. Co-sponsored by Teton County/Jackson Parks
and Recreation and the St. John's Wellness Department, this free program
for all ages includes a brief informational talk by Dr. Domsky followed
by a 45-minute casual walk.
At 6 pm, the program will move inside for the Dinner with a Doc program,
a partnership between St. John's and the Senior Center of Jackson
Hole. Here, Dr. Domsky will speak about pain management while patrons
enjoy a meal. Afterward, he will circulate among the tables to visit with
guests and answer questions.
The dinner is free for all seniors. Friends and families are welcome to
attend the dinner for a fee of $8. Support for the program comes from
the St. John's Hospital Foundation.
"The dinners have been very popular, with topics selected with the
senior audience in mind. Walk with a Doc offers an additional opportunity
to ask questions and visit with a physician in the great outdoors,"
said John Goettler, president of the St. John's Hospital Foundation.
Dinner reservations may be made by calling 733-7300. The summery menu includes
carrot-pineapple salad, chicken filets, herbed brown rice, spring vegetables,
bread, and berry crisp.
The Senior Center is located at 830 E. Hansen Avenue.
