On Tuesday, January 19, St. John’s Medical Center will host the lunchtime
learning presentation, “Is Your Home Safe?” at the Teton County
Library from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
Topics include an explanation of radon and its impacts on health; other
hidden household toxins; ways to mitigate potential hazards; and updates
from Teton County Public Health on local statistics and current efforts.
Presenter Eric Baird works for Teton County Public Health as a health inspector
and has been involved with raising awareness about radon in our community
since the completion of the 2015 Teton County Community Health Needs Assessment.
He graduated from the University of Utah with a Masters of Public Health.
Co-presenter Mike Arnold is a radon expert who performs measurement and
mitigation services throughout Wyoming and Idaho.
