St. John's Medical Center invites all community members to "Walk
with a Doc" and "Dinner with a Doc" featuring Ellen Gallant,
MD on Tuesday, January 12 at the Senior Center of Jackson Hole. Dr. Gallant,
a cardiologist with St. John's Medical Center Cardiology, will speak
about "Keeping Your Heart Healthy." Dr. Gallant recently joined
St. John's Physician Practices medical group. She provides full-time,
local non-interventional cardiology care.
Dr.Gallant will meet people for the Walk with a Doc program at 5 pm at
the entry to the Senior Center, located at 830 E. Hansen Ave. Co-sponsored
by Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation and St. John's Wellness,
this free program for all ages includes a brief informational talk by
Dr. Gallant followed by a 45-minute casual walk. An indoor activity will
replace the walk if weather is prohibitive.
At 6 pm, the program will move inside for the Dinner with a Doc program,
a partnership between St. John's and the Senior Center of Jackson
Hole. Here, Dr. Gallant will speak about heart health while patrons enjoy
a meal. Afterward, she will circulate among the tables to visit with guests
and answer questions.
The dinner is free for all seniors. Friends and family are welcome to attend
the dinner for a fee of $8. Support for the program comes from the St.
John's Hospital Foundation.
Dinner reservations may be made by calling 733-7300.
