On Thursday, August 4, St. John’s Medical Center will host the lunchtime
learning presentation, “Modern Cataract Surgery: A Fountain of Youth
for Your Vision,” at the Teton County Library from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
In this presentation, Jamie Monroe, MD, will explain what a cataract is,
how to know if you have one, what to expect during cataract surgery, and
whether glasses are needed afterwards.
Dr. Monroe is a board certified ophthalmologist with more than 20 years
of experience. She performed a fellowship in cataract and glaucoma surgery
at the University of Utah and has held positions at the University of
Utah and Vanderbilt University training other eye surgeons. She performs
cataract surgeries at St. John’s Medical Center.
