On Tuesday, June 21, St. John’s Medical Center will host the lunchtime
learning presentation, “Sleep, in Health and Disease,” at
the Teton County Library from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
In this presentation, Julia Whitaker, MD, will discuss normal sleep patterns,
circadian rhythms, disordered breathing during sleep, consequences of
insufficient sleep, sleep deprivation, and treatments.
Dr. Whitaker is a board certified pulmonologist, internist, and sleep specialist
at the University of Utah and St. John’s Medical Center. She is
the director of the Sleep Center at St. John’s Medical Center.
