On Monday, September 11, community members are invited to attend interview
sessions St. John's Medical Center (SJMC) will conduct with firms
under consideration to complete final architectural designs for the new
Living Center. The new nursing home will provide long-term residential
care, memory care, short-term rehabilitation, and hospice services.
Five leading architectural firms will be interviewed for the project by
members of the SJMC facilities committee, comprised of representatives
of the SJMC staff and board of trustees, the St. John's Hospital Foundation,
and the community.
"Based on the public support at the SPET vote and through continued
philanthropy, this project is truly a partnership with the community.
During the SPET process, we promised there would be opportunities to learn
more and stay engaged," said SJMC CEO Paul Beaupre, MD. "We
invite the public to attend, to listen, and to provide feedback as this
project comes to fruition."
The interviews will take place in the St. John's Boardroom on the following schedule:
8 – 9 am:
d2 Architecture, based in Dallas, Tex.
9:30 – 10:30 am:
ESa, based in Nashville, Tenn.
11 am – 12 pm:
CTA, with offices throughout the West, including Jackson, Wyo.
1 – 2 pm:
Anderson Mason Dale Architects, based in Denver, Colo.
2:30 – 3:30 pm:
EAPC Architects Engineers, based in Grand Forks, ND
The facilities committee, which has been planning for a new Living Center
for more than two years, will make a recommendation to the SJMC Board
of Trustees to approve a project architect.
Individuals interested in learning more about the new Living Center project
are invited to attend public meetings hosted by the St. John's Hospital
Foundation. The next meeting is on Wednesday, September 6, from noon to
1 pm in the Boardroom at St. John’s Medical Center.
