The St. John's Medical Center Board of Trustees appointed Sue Critzer
as Trustee on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. The vacancy was created by the
resignation of Elizabeth Masek in September. Critzer will serve as Trustee
from November 2019 through the next General Election in November 2020.
Critzer is a seasoned executive with over thirty years of experience in
the medical device and
automotive industries. She holds a BSME from Kettering University and a
MBA from University of Michigan. Before retiring to Jackson, she was CEO
of two medical device start-ups and served on the boards of several companies
in the Twin Cities area. She and her husband Kevin have lived in Jackson
Hole full-time since 2007.
Critzer was appointed as an advisor to the St. John's Board of Trustees
in January 2018. She is a member of the strategy and finance/IT committees
of the Board of Trustees and is a past president of the St. John's
Medical Center Auxiliary. She also volunteers with the Friends of Pathways
and enjoys spending time skiing, biking, fishing, and hiking.
"Through my work with the Auxiliary and as a Board Advisor, and my
many ‘opportunities’ as a patient, I have developed a deep
respect for the level of care provided by our hospital and the people
who deliver it," said Critzer. "I understand firsthand how lucky
we are to have this care available locally, and the challenges involved
in providing it. I look forward to this opportunity to continue to contribute
in a meaningful way to our community and hospital by serving as a Trustee."
