St. John’s Infusion Center
Infusion Services in Jackson Hole
There are many reasons someone might need infusion services: Age may have
made it difficult to take medication, an injury has rendered you unable
to eat, a medical condition has rendered your stomach incapable of processing
medication and nutrients; whatever the case may be, infusion can provide
you with the vital resources you need in an emergency.
Infusion services are offered at the St. John’s Infusion Center.
The specially trained staff here can facilitate numerous infusion therapies.
We work with patients to make sure their service is as comfortable and
painless as possible.
What Does Infusion Treat?
Typically, infusion is used to directly administer medications into the
blood when a condition has advanced to a point that oral medication isn’t
strong enough to treat it. Chemotherapy is a form of infusion therapy.

How Does It Work?
Infusion medication flows through a tube that is directly attached to the
patient’s vein through a needle or catheter. For many years infusion
was only performed on patients staying the hospital, but medical advances
have made it possible to receive infusion on an outpatient basis. This
has allowed for more effective and affordable treatments for patients
in need of continuous infusion therapy. Today, infusion outpatients need
only come to the hospital while the medication is administered, rather
than staying overnight.
St. John’s Infusion Center is designed to make patients feel more
comfortable while receiving treatment. Feel free to discuss with the staff
ways that would make your treatment more convenient. This is a joint process
and we enjoy working as a team to provide ideal medical services.
