Teton Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation
Take Charge of Your Recovery with Physical & Occupational Therapy
Physical therapy and rehabilitation is an invaluable program where participants
can take an active role in their recovery. Patients work with medical
therapists who instruct them on exercises that expedite recovery time.
At St. John’s Medical Center, we offer a broad spectrum of rehabilitative
care. Care begins in the inpatient unit and continues through the hospital
experience, home health therapies, and outpatient services. All of our
therapists are specially trained, using advanced techniques and equipment
in the detection, prevention and treatment of complications caused by
illness and injury.
Physical Therapy Services
Physical therapists focus on training to improve ambulation, strength,
balance, stair-climbing, and standing up from a bed or chair after an
injury, surgery, or neurological event. After a patient is in good enough
condition to leave the hospital, therapy may continue through the
Home Health program.
In occupational therapy, therapists focus on helping patients regain their
independence. After consulting with the participant, an occupational therapist
creates a customized program aimed at helping the patient perform regular
daily activities with ease.
- Occupational therapy focuses on improving:
- Range of motion
- Fine motor control
- Actions required for work
When in-patients advance in their care to a point where they no longer
need around-the-clock care, we often refer them to
Teton Physical Therapy. This is an outpatient program where patients can continue their rehab
without having to stay at the hospital or use home health services.
Outpatient physical therapy hours are Monday through Friday from 7 am to
6 pm. Call 307.739.1864 for more information on all physical therapy and
