Jackson Hole Nutrition Services
The things you eat can have a tremendous impact on your health. Though
often overlooked, the nutritional information on food labels provide an
invaluable guide on exactly what you’re putting into your body.
Still, without knowing more about what these nutrients do and what your
particular body type needs the information will do little good.
Nutrition counseling at St. John’s Medical Center is designed to
help patients manage and treat health conditions. After a brief assessment,
a registered dietitian can review what foods you need to be eating more,
and what you should avoid. This is an easy way to improve your condition
and instill better habits to stay healthy in the future
- Our outpatient registered dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy
for a wide range of conditions, including:
- Disease prevention
- Prediabetes and diabetes
- Cardiovascular disease
- High cholesterol
- Heart disease
- Kidney disease
- Metabolic syndrome
- Gastrointestinal disorders
- Food allergies and intolerances
- Celiac disease
Dietary Wellness Services
One of the missions of St. John’s Medical Center is promoting community
wellness. As part of that effort, we offer nutritional counseling and
educational programs for the general public. Through these services, you
will learn more about what constitutes a healthy diet and how certain
foods can help fight or even treat medical conditions.
Various nutritional programs are offered through our wellness services,
including support groups, wellness coaching, and a diabetes prevention
course. Our registered dietitians offer a 16-week Diabetes Prevention
Program where patients at a high risk of the disease can benefit from
knowledgeable supervision as they take steps to lower their risk.
